IoTSTM32sensorsproduct designaccessibility

An IoT plant monitor built in the faculty-nominated Possible Career Accelerator: soil, light, and temperature sensing on STM32 with a sensor-to-app protocol and a care-recommendation dashboard.

  • 01Soil moisture, light, and temperature sensors into STM32 with a custom sensor-to-mobile protocol
  • 02Power management tuned for wireless battery life
  • 03Formal product-design methods: user research, journey maps, impact/effort matrices
  • 04Accessibility features (voice commands, high-contrast modes) and gamification

Built during the Possible Career Accelerator (1 of 25 students, faculty-nominated). The system reads soil moisture, light, and temperature into an STM32, relays over a custom sensor-to-mobile protocol, and surfaces care recommendations in a user dashboard. The program paired the build with formal product-design methods: user research, journey mapping, and impact/effort prioritization, plus accessibility features like voice commands and high-contrast modes.
